Join Our Team as a Head Porter in Cambridge!
Are you passionate about delivering outstanding customer service, maintaining high-quality standards, and ensuring seamless building management? We are looking for a dedicated Head Porter to oversee the daily operations of a prestigious development, ensuring residents enjoy a well-maintained, safe, and welcoming environment.

- Location: Cambridge
- Annual Salary: £27,500
- Hours/Working Pattern: 7am-3pm or 2pm-10pm
The Role
As Deputy Head Porter, you will be responsible for:
- Resident Services – Be the first point of contact for all residents, handling maintenance issues, complaints, and emergencies with efficiency and professionalism.
- Team Management - Assisting with the management of porters and on site contractors
- Building Management – Assist with maintenance, health & safety checks, contractor engagement, and budget preparation to protect the value of the property.
- Cleaning & Upkeep – Maintain pristine communal areas, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all residents.
What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for someone with:
- Exceptional customer service skills – A positive attitude and strong communication abilities.
- Leadership & teamwork – The ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
- Health & Safety knowledge – NEBOSH, IOSH, or similar qualifications (desirable).
- Building management experience – Previous experience in a similar role.
- Technical proficiency – Competence in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Legal right to work in the UK – A full, clean driving licence is required.
