Assistant Facilities Manager - EC1V

We are looking for an experienced and driven individual in residential property management industry to join us as an Assistant Facilities Manager to assist the Facilities Manager and General Manager in maintaining the high quality standards of a prestigious residential development in London.
The successful candidate will assist in delivering the efficient management of site-based staff, overseeing planned and reactive maintenance including contractor management, capital projects, ensuring the communal areas are well presented, and providing an exceptional level of customer service to all residents and visitors to the development.
Monday to Friday - 8am-5pm (with additional hours as required)
What you'll do
- Perform regular quality inspections/site walk arounds, inspecting all internal and external communal areas on a daily basis for cleanliness, checking for any faults to equipment, any damage to the building and any health and safety risks
- Contribute to optimising suitable contracts and performance of M&E.
- Manage contractors, monitoring the work and performance of contractors on site, ensuring contractors are working safely and administering signing-in/out procedures.
- Co-ordinate planned maintenance, working with the Facilities Manager to ensure that items identified on the Planned Maintenance Schedule are undertaken on time and to the required standards/guidelines.
- Carry out / Oversee system testing around the building (including services such as emergency lighting, fire alarm systems/smoke vents and lift emergency lines).
- Ensure compliance is monitored and kept fully updated on our Dwellant system, through close regular monitoring and collaborative working with the contractors, Facilities Manager and Encore Estate Manager.
- Completing staff inductions and training as required, identifying on-going needs of the team.
- Management of uniform and equipment on the site ensuring that all staff have the tools to deliver their required roles at all times.
What you'll bring
- Experience of facilities management and compliance. Your experience may be in the residential block management or hospitality sectors. We are also happy to consider those with an armed forces background.
- Experience of supporting, mentoring, coaching, and developing a team.
- Experience of contractor management including approving and assessing all sub-contractor works.
- Have a good understanding of planned maintenance.
- Hold or be prepared to gain a qualification such as IOSH Managing Safely within 1year.
- Experience of financial management.
The successful candidate will
- Be legally able to work in the UK.
- Hold or be willing to work towards IWFM qualification within 2 years.
- Be highly competent in the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
- Preferably possess a full, clean driving license; however, this is not essential.
