Management Accountant
This is a key role in our Estate Management team. You will work with the Estate Managers to ensure we consistently deliver a high standard of performance and achieve customer satisfaction.

The role
Due to continuous and considerable growth, we require a Management Accountant to join the business. This role will work alongside the Financial Accountant to support the Financial Controller with month end and year end duties including audit, as well as being a vital part of the team involved in business decision making and system improvements. You will also work closely with the CFO on ad hoc projects as well as assisting with the integration of acquisitions and new business. This role requires great attention to detail and an ability to communicate internally and externally with a number of different stakeholders.
What you’ll do
Working alongside the current financial accounting team, the key responsibilities include:
- Undertaking projects aimed at driving cost efficiencies and adding value to the business
- Generating financial insights and reporting to department heads to aid strategic business decisions
- Identifying and implementing improvements to efficiency and controls within finance team processes
- Supporting the Financial Accountant and Financial Controller with month end processes to provide accurate and timely Board reports
- Supporting the Financial Controller with year end accounts, audit and taxation compliance
- Assisting with ongoing updating of financial models – providing support with budgets and forecasts for the Group
- Assisting with the integration of acquisitions – integrating the finance systems and processes of newly acquired businesses with our own
- Other ad hoc finance team duties
What you'll bring
The successful candidate will present with the following:
Qualifications
- CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an accounting role, preferably from an industry background
- Experience with Qube software is desirable but not essential
Skills
- Excellent IT skills, particularly essential with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint
- Excellent numeracy/analytical skills and competency in dealing with financial information
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent organisational, project and time management skills
- Confidence and competence in making financial decisions
- Ability to work autonomously and can manage own workload
- Excellent team working – ability to build working relationships with colleagues across the organisation
